Sample Lesson Plans

During my student teaching experiences, I had the opportunity to develop several interactive, collaborative, and multi-faceted lesson – all based on best practices in the education field.

Sample 1 is a lesson that takes a look at the importance of being able to negotiate differences between people, nations, or other entities.  In the interactive activities seen here, the two major conferences that started the Cold War provide great examples of how major world leaders came to a compromise of once-Nazi territory.  The aftermath of the conferences also provides a great example consequences observed when negotiation fails.  The historical events and concepts learned here can easily be applied to any interpersonal communication, and serves a good model to students about the importance of interacting with a diverse community with diverse beliefs.

Sample 2 is a lesson based on the Cold War and how it related to a divided world following World War II.  It is closely tied to the concept of freedom and leads students to analyze what it means to be free in the 21st century.
